Biography: Hassan Pakarzadeh was born in Dezful, Iran, in 1980. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, in 2002, 2005, and 2011, respectively. During 2011-2016, he was an Assistant Professor with Physics Department, Shiraz University of Technology, Shiraz, Iran, and since 2017, he has been an Associate Professor of physics. He is the first author or co-author of more than 160 peer-reviewed scientific publications in journals and conferences. His research interests include optics and photonics, fiber optical parametric amplifiers (FOPAs), fiber sensors, THz photonics, and nonlinear effects in optical fibers and devices. He is a Member of the Optics and Photonics Society of Iran, Physics Society of Iran, and IEEE Photonics Society. He is a Reviewer for a number of journals, which include the Optics Communications, Optics Express, Optical Fiber Technology, Applied Optics, JOSA B, Optik, Results in Physics, Measurements, Optical Review, International Journal of Optics and Photonics, Frontiers in Energy, Iranian Journal of Science and Technology, Indian Journal of Physics, Journal of Optical Communications, IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Transactions on NanoBioscience, Lightwave Technology, Journal of Computational Electronics, Journal of Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves, Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism, Journal of Research on Many-body Systems, Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, Modern Physics Letters B, Optical and Quantum Electronics, The European Physical Journal Plus, and IEEE PHOTONICS JOURNAL. He is also a Member of technical program committee of several national and international conferences and symposiums. From 2008 to 2009, he was the recipient of the Scholarship of Visiting Ph.D. Student with Fiber Optics, Devices and Nonlinear Effects Group, DTU FOTONIK, the Department of Photonics Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). |
