Title: “Smart Production – On The Way To Autonomous Laser Processes”
Abstract: Modern laser processes have to become more and more efficient. The new era of digitization enables better quality, higher production speeds and reduced downtimes. Overall this delivers a high potential for reducing the production cost and – time. There are four main building blocks to achieve the full advantages of more efficient processes in terms of Industry 4.0: - Intelligent Equipment - Intelligent Processes - Networks - Artificial intelligence
Biography: Dr. Matthias Koitzsch studied electrical engineering at Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen/Germany. His majors were semiconductor and laser technology. After graduation in 2006 he joined Fraunhofer Institute for integrated systems and device technology in Erlangen as a research scientist. Topic of his PhD thesis is a laser based cleaving process for brittle semiconductor materials. In 2013 Matthias started at TRUMPF headquarter laser division as product manager. He had been responsible for different OEM product families, such as: direct diode lasers, disk lasers, and optics. In May 2017 he moved to China and is now responsible for technical sales support. This includes industry- and product management, order processing and key account management as well. As a crosscutting task, he is coordinating I4.0 topics at the interface of the machine tools division and the laser division of TRUMPF China. |
