| Title: Novel micro-nano fiber evanescent wave quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy | |
| Abstract: In this paper, a long distance, distributed gas sensing system was reported based on a new technique of micro-nano fiber evanescent wave quartz enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (FEW-QEPAS). Such a sensor scheme has the advantages of higher detection sensitivity, distributed gas sensing ability, lower cost and a simpler fabrication procedure compared to conventional FEW gas sensors using photonic crystal fibers or tapered fibers with chemical sputtering. A fiber with multiple tapered detection units in FEW-QEPAS system was used to investigate long distance and distributed sensing based on multi-point, spatially resolved trace gas concentration measurements. | |
| Biography: Yufei Ma received his Ph.D. degree in physical electronics from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2013. From September 2011 to September 2012, he spent as a visiting scholar at Rice University, USA. Currently, he is an associate professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, China. His research interests include optical sensors, trace gas detection, laser spectroscopy and optoelectronics. He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers (acted as first author or corresponding author, including Sensors and Actuators B, Applied Physics Letters, Optics Express, etc.) He served as lead guest editor or editorial member for many journals and acted as reviewers for more than 40 journals and international conferences. | |
